The Role of WVS

Wisconsin Virtual School (WVS) is the state-led online and blended learning supplemental program that partners with school districts throughout Wisconsin to offer online courses to students in grades 4K-12. WVS has operated out of CESA 9 since 2000, with over half of Wisconsin school districts participating in the program.

  • WVS "uncomplicates" the process of participating in online education. We help districts provide an online option for their learners, and keep those learners local! 
  • WVS takes care of the details, providing the content, learning management system (LMS), Wisconsin-certified online teachers, technical support, training, server, and much more.
  • WVS supports local districts in serving their varied students' needs, while maintaining student enrollments within their local district.
  • WVS reviews and expands our course list regularly to ensure we are providing high quality online courses and robust educational experiences for students.

WVS Plus

 

Wisconsin Virtual School Plus 4K-8

Full- and part-time online learning for elementary and middle school learners who can attend synchronous live lessons and homeroom.

Asynchronous Online Learning

Asynchronous Online Learning

Full- or part-time asynchronous enrollments allow a learner to stay enrolled in their school district and complete some or all their content through WVS.
