What is WVS Plus?
WVS Plus is our synchronous program designed to provide 4K-8 learners with live teacher support in core content. Students participating in our Plus program receive daily live instruction in core content areas, embedded leadership and character-building lessons using Leader in Me, individualized teacher support, access to monthly community-building events, all while staying connected to their school community by remaining in their local student enrollment count.

Team Teaching Model:
Learners enrolled in the WVS Plus program will benefit from a team of teachers working together to support students in the following ways:
- A Wisconsin-licensed teacher, trained in synchronous (live) virtual instruction, pedagogy, and developmentally appropriate practices, will provide the daily live instruction. The live instruction teacher will also provide the following:
- Weekly content recordings
- Weekly attendance reports to District coaches
- Welcoming and positive virtual classroom environment
- Encouraging and supportive opportunities for students to actively participate in their daily learning
- A Wisconsin-licensed teacher consultant will serve as the “teacher of record” for the content areas (core courses: Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies). This teacher will collaborate closely with the live instruction teacher to aide in providing the following:
- Course grading
- Specific student feedback
- Supporting student questions regarding course content
- Weekly (optional) core course support through a live session, likely in the later afternoon or evening

4K Programming:
To meet the needs and requests of our state-wide district partners, WVS is pleased to offer a PILOT of a new opportunity to add to our successful WVS PLUS program: WVS PLUS 4K! For additional information on our 4K Programming please review our 4K Informational flyer.
WVS Plus K-8 Courses:
Students in WVS Plus can be enrolled in core grade level courses with synchronous instruction and asynchronous elective courses. See a full list of WVS K-8 courses.
Pricing:
WVS Plus K-8 Enrollments are priced per student, per semester course. Courses are priced per core classes with synchronous instruction and the option to add on asynchronous electives. For more information view our pricing page.

WVS Plus Class Schedule and Yearly Calendar:
Student enrollment follows the WVS PLUS School Year Calendar for start, end, and semester dates. Note there is not a drop period for WVS Plus enrollments without fee, once they begin. You may substitute another learner for that seat, leave the learner enrolled or drop the learner but the district will still be billed. Any seat substitutions have to be coordinated and approved with the WVS office.

Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s Arts in Community Education Program (MSO/ACE)
- WVS PLUS partners with MSO/ACE to bring WI-DPI standards-based music appreciation experience programming for K-5 WVS PLUS students.
