Teacher Bio:
My name is Jada Callahan. I live in Middleton, WI, where I teach full-time at Middleton High School. At MHS, I teach sociology and criminal justice. I am also an adjunct professor for UW-Oshkosh in both of those fields. Through WVS and the Wisconsin E-School, I teach the following: sociology, criminal justice, criminology, social problems, and history courses. My expertise and interests in the social sciences are vast!
When I am not teaching, I love to just simply be outside. You'll find me boating, hiking, walking the dog, or just simply lounging with a good book. I am also an avid podcast listener. A few of my favorites are Smartless, Armchair Expert, and Wiser Than Me. Of course, my three absolute favorite loves are my husband (whom I have been dating since we met at Dairy Queen when I was 16) and our two girls, Maddie and McKenzie. Maddie lives in Brooklyn, NY, and McKenzie attends UW-Madison.
My educational philosophy centers on equity and inclusion, ensuring all students feel valued and supported to reach their full potential. I aim to create a respectful and culturally responsive classroom that celebrates diverse perspectives and dismantles barriers to success. I prepare students to become compassionate, critical thinkers and advocates for social justice and social change.
