Teacher Bio:

My name is Mrs. Dawn Jameson. I am presently teaching classes in the CTE area (Business IT and Marketing Department) for WVS, WAVE, and WEN. 

My past employment has included working at Wausau West teaching dual credit classes for NTC as well as CAPP classes for UW-Oshkosh.

I have over 28 years of teaching experience in the classroom and 8 years in the virtual environment. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from UW-Eau Claire and my Master's degree from UW-Stout.   

My teaching career started right out of college in the Wausau School District. I took a leave from education to become an entrepreneur with my husband. We owned and operated six businesses in the Wausau/Mosinee/Merrill area. We were one of the first Subway restaurant owners in the state of Wisconsin. Eventually, we also became owners/operators of BP convenience/gas stations. We were employers of over 125 employees for many years. My desire to return to education was greater than being a business owner. I returned to education in January 2000 at Wausau West and John Muir Middle School.

Currently, I am the FBLA adviser for WAVE (Wausau Area Virtual Education) students. In addition, I started and coached the first Mock Trial team in the Wausau School District over 10 years ago. 
 
My hobbies and interests include spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, boating, and learning new things. I have two grown children (one is an accountant and the other is an IT specialist). My husband and I enjoy spending time with our baby granddaughter.

One last piece of information: people (including my dad) often get me confused with my identical twin sister. She also is/was a teacher. We both believe that every child can thrive online with the right support.
