Teacher Bio:

I love science, math, and music! I have taught math, science, and PLTW engineering for 4 decades! Although I retired from full-time teaching in 2019, I have continued to teach dual-enrollment math at Milwaukee High School of the Arts and have taught chemistry and physics for WVS since 2015. I do my best to show my students that they can and will excel! WVS allows me to engage with students from all over Wisconsin and even overseas.

I have 3 very active boys, ages 6, 10, and 18. All three love sports, participating in gymnastics, swimming, soccer, hockey, figure skating, and wrestling. They never get tired! The 2 older boys also take music lessons, with the youngest starting soon.

I have played musical instruments since middle school, specializing in trombone, tuba, and trumpet. I enjoy playing many kinds of music and have toured nationally and in Europe for several years with a soul music group called Kings Go Forth. After a 6-year hiatus, I recently started playing tuba with a polka/pop band called The Squeezettes. I hope to play with my sons someday!
