Wisconsin Virtual School (WVS) is the state-led supplemental program, authorized by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) to partner with local school districts to provide online options to students. WVS has a variety of K-12 course options for learners, including AP, electives, and world language. Students who take online course(s) with WVS continue being enrolled in their local school district. If your student is not enrolled in your local school district, we encourage you to review the Unique Enrollment Situations page.
To get started with WVS, contact your local school district counselor. If you are not sure who to contact at your local school district, reach out to us at wvshelpdesk@cesa9.org or 715-453-1953.

"Honestly he loves your class. He asked to be taken out of the 'in person' class at school and do your class. What he finds extremely effective for him is that as he is learning, if he needs to hear the word over again, he can push to replay the word. He feels he learns best this way. He is enjoying the class and looks forward to talking to his aunt and cousin who are fluent in German and from Germany."
"... we just want to send a thank you note to WVS for another successful year. So often we only reach out with problems and complaints and forget to appreciate when everything runs smoothly. This is our seventh year of WVS courses. Your teachers have again done a terrific job, and a huge thanks to the office staff that works behind the scenes!"
"WVS is a wonderful resource. It brings education to students where ever they are in the state. All three of my kids have benefited greatly."
