Teacher Bio:

I am a Social Studies teacher and Associate Director (Curriculum) for WI Virtual School. I have been an educator since 2010. Currently, I facilitate the online Wisconsin State Civics Test course with WVS. I have previously taught US History, AP and regular World History, Civics, International Relations, and even a pre-service teacher course on tech tools in the classroom. I also have a Master of Science degree in Educational Technology and a Certificate in Instructional Design. Fun fact - I completed both those programs completely online! I am certainly an online learning enthusiast!

I am originally from Minnesota, but I currently live just outside of Madison with my husband and three dogs. In my free time, I love being outside. Reading on our screened-in porch is one of my favorite activities (except in the winter, brrrr!). I also love traveling, visiting parks, playing card/board games, gardening, and cooking. One of my recent trips with my husband was to sunny Cartagena, Colombia! Our latest local adventure has been adopting our third rescue dog, a sweet puppy named Rosie.
