Teacher Bio:

I'm originally from a small town in Northern Wisconsin, called Medford. I'm a graduate of UWSP for my undergrad and Concordia for my post-grad degree. I got my first teaching job right out of college at Sheboygan Falls High School, where I taught for five years. During that time, I met the man who would become my husband, and we got married in 2018!  

He's an insurance agent, and in 2018, we had an opportunity to buy an insurance agency in Wausau, Wisconsin. This resulted in a big move and us buying our house. It also caused me to change school districts, and I now work at D.C. Everest Senior High as a Chemistry teacher! Ben and I have two little girls, Emily and Scarlett, and we also have two golden retrievers, Murphy and Lilah! We really love the Wausau area, and we spend a lot of our summer in Minocqua!

2018 was clearly a big year for me and my family, and it also began my journey with WVS. I've taught a variety of classes for WVS, including AP Chemistry, Biology, Earth Science, Biotechnology, and Astronomy! I've really enjoyed my time with WVS, and I feel that I've gotten to work with some really fantastic students from all across the state!

In my free time, I love to read, paint, hunt, and water and snow ski, but my favorite thing is probably hiking! I have a goal to make it to all of the National Parks in the United States, and I'm about halfway to that goal! We'll see how many more parks I can check off the list this coming summer!
