Teacher Bio:
I believe people, and you in particular, can do anything you put your mind to do. My wife and I enjoy raising our 2 high-school-aged daughters. As a family, we do as many activities together as possible, such as walking, biking, running, and skiing. We are active volunteers at our local church. No pets for us because I am allergic to dogs and cats.
Educationally, I have 27 years of educational experience including 20 years at Wisconsin Virtual School, six years at Northcentral Technical College, former Wisconsin Advanced Placement (AP) Advisory Council member, Knowledge and Concepts Distance Learning (Aventa) AP Psychology and Psychology course content author, as well as co-content author for AP Psychology, AP United States History, AP United States Government and Politics, AP Comparative Governments, Educational Testing Services AP Psychology READER and attendance at AP Psychology and AP United States History Summer Institutes. My curriculum development expertise includes Quality Matters Master Reviewer, international facilitator of Applying the Quality Matters K12 Rubric, national conference presenter at Quality Matters and Digital Learning Annual Conference as well as attendance at international seminars for Understanding By Design with extensive work regarding High-Quality Intellectual Work.
I am the Outdoor Adventure Guide at The Landing, offered through the Woodson YMCA in Wausau, WI. The Landing is for those aged 55+ to create a time for face-to-face connection, friendship, movement, and growth. The Landing truly is transformational, especially for those whose spouses have died.
