Title: WVS Teacher Consultant
Teacher Bio:
I am passionate about animals. I have a small hobby farm where I have goats, chickens, ducks, geese, and the two that put a smile on my face most days, 2 emus whose names are Ken and Barbie. I also have 8 dogs. Yep, I enjoy my animals and love to share them with people who come out to visit my little place.
I have recently been getting into gardening. Not growing a vegetable garden but planting flowers, bushes, and other plants to start making my place more beautiful. It has been a challenge to keep pulling weeds.
I have a 27-year-old daughter who works in accounting and has a huge vegetable garden. I also have a son who passed away just before his 13th birthday. He was like his mom and enjoyed working with his hands. He was always finding something to do, whether it be taking the air out of my truck tire so he could change it or modifying his sister's bike so she could go faster. I find that I believe that learning hands-on is the best way for me to grasp concepts. I try to continue doing that when I am teaching, whether in a brick-and-mortar school or online.
