Computer Technology Readiness for WVS Online Courses
COURSE ACCESS: Students have up to 20 weeks access to each semester AP/HS/MS/CR course, UNLESS the sponsoring district requires an earlier completion.
STUDENTS: You need to consult with your school guidance counselor to make sure the appropriate course(s) are chosen to receive credit from your local school. Your counselor will make the course request for you, unless you are a home-schooled student.
SCHOOLS: If the school district has not used WVS before, WVS will need the name, address, phone number, and email address of the person in the district who will be the student's LEG/Coach BEFORE creating new student accounts/making course requests for the first time. Please call the number below with that information. This person will receive instructions on how to use our online enrollment system.
PARENTS: If you will be your student's LEG/Coach (no school personnel acting in that role, home-schooled, or expelled students), please contact WVS by phone. If a school is not paying for your student's course, payment by check/money order should be made payable and sent to: CESA #9, Wisconsin Virtual School, P.O. Box 449, Tomahawk, WI 54487; course requests will not be activated until payment is received.
COST 2016-17: $295 per semester course for Middle School, High School, and Advanced Placement ($325 for out of state enrollments), $200 per semester course for Credit Recovery ($200 for out of state enrollments) and $325 per semester course for Dual Enrollment courses. Supplemental materials (inluding eBooks) are required for some courses. Please check the course outline/syllabus before you enroll for this information. FREE 28 DAY TRIAL: A student has 28 calendar days after enrollment is confirmed to try out the course. A full refund (if already paid for) will be given if a drop request is received within the first 28 calendar days. All drop requests received on the 29th calendar day and beyond will be billed for the full course fee. Click here for drop policy/request drop instructions.
