Summer Term 2010 Information

Course List

Enrollment Dates for 2009-10
Enrollment for our Spring 2010 term is open December 21, 2009 through May 21, 2010. Summer term enrollments are open from May 25 through July 9, 2010.

Students enrolling in the fall or spring terms have 5 months after they are enrolled to finish their classes.  Students enrolling in the WVS Summer session have 8 weeks to finish their course(s). Extensions are allowed in some circumstances, see our extension policy.

OPEN ENROLLMENT: Contact your local school district's administrator or guidance counselor about taking WVS online courses through your local school. Have your school email us  or call 715-453-2141 for information on how this can work for you.

STUDENTS: You need to consult with your school guidance counselor to make sure you choose the appropriate class(es) to receive credit from your local school. Your counselor will enroll you, unless you are a home-schooled student.

SCHOOLS: If the school district has not used WVS before, WVS will need the name, address, phone number, and email address of the person in the district who will be the student's LEG (mentor) BEFORE enrolling students the first time. Please call the number below with that information. This person will receive instructions on how to use our online enrollment system. The district will be billed for the classes approximately one month after enrollment.

PARENTS: If you will be your student's LEG or mentor (no school personnel acting in that role, home-schooled, or expelled students), please contact WVS by phone for a login ID and password to register your student online. If a school is not paying for your student's course, you need to send a check for the course fee to: CESA #9, Wisconsin Virtual School, P.O. Box 449, Tomahawk, WI 54487 at the time of enrollment.

COST: The cost for WVS courses is: $325 per semester course for Middle School, High School,  and Advanced Placement and $270 per semester course for Credit Recovery. Supplemental materials are required for some courses. Please check the course outline/syllabus before you enroll for this information. WVS does not provide these materials- it is up to the student and/or school to obtain them.

FREE 14 DAY TRIAL: A student has 14 calendar days after enrollment is confirmed to try out the course.  You will receive a full refund or the district will not be billed for the course if you cancel in writing by emailing WVS within that 14 days. If you drop after 14 calendar days and before 28 days, a $100 cancellation fee will be charged.  After 28 days, the full course payment is due.  Student Contact and Drop Policy

If you have any problems with the online enrollment, please call 715-453-2141 between 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Mon.-Fri. , leave a detailed message at ext. 236, or email us at wvs@wisconsinvirtualschool.org
