WVS offers online AP® courses for Wisconsin Schools. The cost is $290 ($325 - out of state) per semester course, per student. Any required textbooks and materials must be purchased by the sponsoring district or student. See the WVS Materials List for textbook requirements.
NOTE: The College Board REQUIRES the hands-on labs. Students will need to work with their local districts to complete the lab requirement. No exceptions. (ex. AP Biology, AP Chemistry, and AP Physics I and II)
These courses are equivalent to undergraduate level college courses and will prepare students for the College Board examinations given in May. School districts (NOT WVS) are responsible for ordering AP exams from the College Board.
All of our AP® courses have been audited by the College Board. The local school AP Coordinator and AP Course Audit Administrator should review the College Board process for adding WVS as an Online Provider and adding students to Exam Only sections.
How do I create exam only sections? - Ordering Help / AP Central - The College Board
WVS AP teachers will provide a second semester join code for students who begin WVS AP courses after the exam ordering date.
NOTE: You will want to make sure the end date for the course is prior to the student taking the exam.
Semester and Yearlong Courses
- Yearlong courses will be noted as including S1/S2, A/B, or similar.
- Courses without a specific semester label are standalone one semester courses.
