WVS Course Information
WVS courses are aligned with national and state standards. Standards alignment documentation and information are available upon request. Each semester course is equal to .5 credits, which is granted by the local school district upon completion. Course fees are charged per student, per course and include registration, software, course facilitation by a Wisconsin-certified teacher, and technical support. Advanced Placement (AP), High School (HS), Middle School (MS) and Elementary asynchronous courses, with a WVS Teacher Consultant, are $290 per semester per student ($325 for out of state). Credit Recovery (CR) courses are available for grades 6-12 and are $190 per semester per student ($200 for out of state). Each semester course, for all courses, are worth 1/2 credit.
All K-12 asynchronous courses are semester courses, and students are given up to 5 months (approximately 20 weeks) from the date of enrollment to complete each AP, HS, MS, Elementary, or CR course.
WVS Plus for K-8 learners with daily live instruction for core content will follow the WVS school year calendar and daily/weekly schedules. Costs are $500, per semester enrollment. Districts and Schools interested in this option should complete this form for a conversation.
Districts can also utilize their own highly qualified teachers with our infrastructure, tools, and content. Districts and Schools interested in this option should complete this form for a conversation.
District personnel can utilize course syllabi for alignment to local scope and sequence. "Curriculum Review" access will provide a look at the first module of most courses to preview the design, types of activities and to test local devices being used. Please review the syllabus/description for each course you are considering to see the materials requirements, if applicable. WVS Orientation Course
- No Cost to enroll in the orientation course.
- Student Orientation Course is a short five-week independent study course
- Highly encouraged for all Middle and High School students prior to starting their regular online course(s).
- Coaches or parents who are enrolling students at WVS can enroll their student(s) in the WVS Student Orientation Course at the same time as their other courses.
