Educational Background:
A graduate of Butler University in
Indianapolis with a major in Business and Physical
Education. I have taught in the Phelps School District
for 33 years. Besides teaching many business and
physical education classes, I have coached most of
those 33 years in many sports but mostly basketball. I
was also the athletic director for many years.
Personal Info/Hobbies: I was
born and raised in Indiana. My wife Joy, teacher in the
Northland Pines School District, and I have been
married for 21 years. We have two sons; Don a graduate
of Stevens Point University and Tyler, who is
currently majoring in nuclear engineering at U-W
Madison. I enjoy following sports, playing golf and I
garden with my wife.
Personal Statement about Online
Teaching:
There is a broader radius of students
and subject areas that need to be addressed today than
ever before. Public schools are under funded and
cannot offer the wide range of curriculum needs that
this group of people requires. Therefore offering
students online educational options is the most
practical solution. I want to be part of this
solution.
