Personal Statement about Online Teaching: Online learning is an exciting and new way to gain information.  The learning principles of an online classroom are the same as a traditional course, but how we apply them is necessarily different.  Please recognize that role as a student and my role as an instructor are very different than in a live classroom.  You have to be more proactive and independent than is necessary in a traditional classroom setting.  You must actively direct and participate in your own learning.  Although, remember you are not alone as long as you use your communication lines because I love this subject matter and want to help in the facilitation of your learning.  The common trait successful students possess is timeliness.
