Personal Info/Hobbies:
I am originally from Southeast China but now live in Wisconsin with my husband and two kids. I have been a foreign language teacher for many years in different countries--China, Japan and now the United States. This is the second year that I teach online. When I do not teach, I like to travel with my family. We have visited many National Parks and big cities in the States. The next place we would like to go is Hawaii. We hope to go there in winter to escape at least for a while the cold winter in Wisconsin. Besides traveling, I enjoy reading and listening to music a lot. I don't like sports mainly because I am not good at most, except Ping pong (table tennis).

Personal Statement about Online Teaching:
Being a traditional classroom teacher, I experience a lot of differences and difficulties in online teaching. Although this is my second year to teach students Chinese online, it is still challenging to me, especially in using technology to conduct language teaching. As I am getting more familiar with technical skills, I have found it an amazing experience to reach my students via Elluminate, email and phone calls. It seems that the world becomes small and the long-distance teaching can be “face-to-face” in no time with the help of technology. I am looking forward to exploring more technical skills so as to create a more active learning environment for students.
