Ed. I taught in Milwaukee Public Schools for 20 years and recently
retired.
Personal Info/Hobbies:
I love critters and have many pets. I am a licensed
wildlife rehabilitator for urban wildlife. I enjoy
reading, fine needlework (knitting beaded purses),
gardening, and spending the summer at a cottage on Lake
Superior where I am entertained by the hummingbirds, my
3 dogs and 4 grandkids.
Personal Statement about Online Teaching:
Online classes are offered in so many venues that I
feel every high school student should take at least
one. The experience gained will be invaluable. I love
the fact that I can keep in touch with teens yet do not
have the normal pressures of a face to face classroom.
Many students are able to experience the ideas of kids
who live in different parts of the state and this has
led to interesting conversations. Online learning is a
tool and as such should be looked at as a valid way to
learn.
