Educational Experience:
Originally I came from
Russia where I was trained as an architect. I taught
math, physics, and architectural design at a technical
college in Volgograd, Russia. I came to America about 13
years ago. During that time I’ve gained BS in Math
Teaching and started working as a math teacher for
Hortonville High School. This Fall is my 8th year with
Hortonville High School. I teach Applied Algebra,
Functions, Trigonometry and Advanced Algebra here. I
have been teaching for WVS
since 2003.
Personal Info/Hobbies:
I have MA in Arts Studio,
painting and drawing.
So, in my spare time I like to do acrylic painting. I
like to paint still life and landscapes.
Personal Statement about Online Teaching:
I feel that a real
challenge of online teaching is establishing sufficient
communication with my students. In a situation when I
don’t see my students face to face and connect to them
by e-mails I found that sometimes it is hard to know
what kind of problems they have working on their courses
unless the students let me know.
The rewards of online teaching are observing my students
improving their computer, communication and math skills.
Also I enjoy watching my students learning how to manage
their own success.
