Educational Experience:
17th year teaching at Cornell School
District: Subjects taught include World History,
Geography, Economics, US History, American Government,
Psychology, Sociology, and Street Law. Teaching
experience prior to Cornell was a in specialized setting
for teens with emotional/behavioral special needs
Personal Info/Hobbies:
I am an out-of-doors enthusiast for most activities
including road biking, roller blading, walking,
gardening, kayaking, fly fishing, ATV riding, and you
name it! I also enjoy reading, classical music,
crocheting, and spending time with my family. I am an
avid follower of current events, especially the
elections
Personal Statement about Online Teaching:
As an online student, teacher, and communicator, I
thoroughly enjoy the online setting and find it a
credible and valuable learning environment and tool.
Online learning and/or digital learning in some cases
works well to replace the face-to-face classroom and
also works well to supplement that classroom although I
see the face-to-face environment retaining the
traditional value and role that it has always carried in
our educational system.
